At twenty-eight feet, this is the most manoeuvrable enclosed trailer in the fleet. It solves the deliveries other units refuse.

The pup covers two cases: delivery in an area where a full semi-trailer cannot circulate, and a partial load that does not justify 53 feet of floor. In both cases what matters is not cube but the ability to reach the door.
Two pups coupled together form a double, a common configuration in the North American LTL network: it lets two destinations be kept separate without a transfer partway through the trip.
