Straight truck
A straight truck has no detachable trailer: the box is mounted on the chassis. With a power tailgate, it lowers the pallet to the ground with no dock and no forklift on the customer’s side.
Also called : box truck, straight truck with tailgate, power tailgate
This is the answer to the most common situation in final delivery: the consignee has no dock. Without a tailgate you would need a forklift on site, a crane, or a two-hour hand unload. With one, the pallet is down in minutes.
Tell us ahead of time that the site has no dock. It is the one piece of information that cannot be fixed afterwards, and a 53-footer sent to a dockless site leaves still loaded.
What goes in it
- Final customer with no unloading dock
- Ground-level delivery with a tailgate
- Small volumes in urban areas
- Retail stores, clinics and offices

Not sure which unit you need?
Give us the pallet count, their footprint and the total weight. We will tell you which trailer fits, and whether your dock can take it.
