Container 40’ / 53’
A container that arrives by ship or by rail still has to cover the last few kilometres by road. That leg is what we cover: from the terminal to your dock, and the empty back.
Also called : intermodal, ocean container, drayage
Container transport is decided at the terminal, not on the road. You need an appointment, an available chassis, and the container released by customs and by the steamship line before a truck shows up. An unreleased container ties up a driver for nothing.
The second trap is the end of the run: free days on the container and on the chassis go fast, and detention charges then land every day. We plan the unloading and the empty return with you as soon as we take the file.
What goes in it
- 40’ and 53’ containers from the Port of Montreal
- Rail terminal pulls
- Delivery to the dock then empty return
- Containerized imports

Not sure which unit you need?
Give us the pallet count, their footprint and the total weight. We will tell you which trailer fits, and whether your dock can take it.
