Dry van 48’
The 48-footer does not exist to carry less: it exists to get in where the 53-footer cannot manoeuvre.
Also called : 48-foot van, van 48, short enclosed trailer
A tight yard, a commercial street, an angled dock, a shared parking lot: five feet less often changes the answer to “can the truck back in here”. On those sites, a 48-footer delivers in one visit where a 53-footer means a transfer or a refusal.
The trade-off is arithmetic: less floor, so fewer pallets per trip. If access is not an issue, the 53-footer remains the best price per pallet. Give us the delivery address and we will make the call.
What goes in it
- Urban delivery
- Restricted-access yards and docks
- Mid-volume palletized loads
- Sites without a long manoeuvring area

Not sure which unit you need?
Give us the pallet count, their footprint and the total weight. We will tell you which trailer fits, and whether your dock can take it.
