FAQ
Your questions, our answers
The questions we get asked most often. If yours is not here, give us a call, which is even faster.
How many pallets fit in a 53-foot trailer?
26 standard pallets on the floor (48 × 40 in.), or 52 if your freight can be stacked. Usable legal weight runs around 42,000 to 45,000 lb depending on the tractor configuration. Those are industry benchmarks: we confirm the exact figure for your load at quoting time, because your actual pallet footprint and stacking height change the answer.
Is my freight protected from rain and snow?
Yes. The van is fully enclosed. The floor and walls are checked before every load, and the doors are sealed.
What happens if my product freezes?
From November to April, we offer a heated trailer for freeze-sensitive products: liquids, paints, adhesives, beverages. Mention it when you request a quote, it changes the equipment.
The final customer has no dock. Is that a problem?
No, but tell us ahead of time. We send a straight truck with a tailgate rather than a 53-footer, and the delivery is made at ground level.
Will you take a single skid?
Yes, on LTL. You pay for the space used and the transit time is stated up front.
How fast do I get a price?
Thirty minutes or less, between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m., seven days a week.
I buy from a US supplier. What do I have to do?
Give us the pickup address, the pallet count and the weight. We handle the transport, the PARS and the eManifest. You need a business number (RM) with the CRA and a customs broker; if you don’t have one, we’ll refer you to one.
What documents does my supplier have to provide?
Commercial invoice, packing list and bill of lading. If the goods qualify under CUSMA, add the certification of origin: that is what saves you the duty.
How long between the US pickup and delivery to me?
From one day out of New England to four or five days out of Texas, on a full truckload. On LTL, add two to four days. These are indicative transit times, excluding customs holds: the firm transit time for your load is confirmed at quoting time.
Do you deliver everywhere in Canada?
Yes, in all ten provinces, with heavier volume in Quebec, Ontario and Western Canada.
