Consumer goods
Consumer goods fill a trailer long before they reach the weight limit. The real challenge is elsewhere: the receiving appointment.
Cartons, household items, textiles, toys, small appliances: these loads cube out. A 53-foot trailer is full at 20,000 lb, which makes stacking and load order more decisive than tonnage.
Distribution centres run on appointments, with windows of a few hours and penalties when they are missed. We book the appointment before departure and build the driver’s schedule around it, mandatory rest included.
When a load serves several delivery points, the load order is planned backwards from the route: the last pallet in is the first one out.
- Receiving appointment booked before departure
- Load order built backwards from the delivery route
- Stacking optimized for light freight
- Real-time tracking through to the consignee’s dock
